CALLAWAY - The Good Ball

Champion golfer Lee Trevino once said, “You can talk to a slice, but a hook has no ears”. From pros to amateurs alike, every golfer wants a ball that will listen to them as they beg and pray for it to stay in bounds, take a fortuitous bounce off a tree, or maybe, just once, go in the hole. 

I wrote this ad as a tongue-in-cheek homage to the cliche, yet highly ubiquitous technical dissections of golf equipment, in a voice that would resonate with core golfers. 

This ad ran in all the major golf publications and even found a coveted spot in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
